Congratulations on your SOTD, Pam. This is a wonderful spotting, and it makes me smile :)
Thank you Daniele for the SOTD for this cute monkey with a remarkable nose... It was really checking me out from the safety of the tree, then it just continued doing its thing after it felt I was no threat ! I watched it for quite a while. Sorry about the mix-up with the Best Wildlife photo. Bit behind on my dates I think ! I have removed it...
Congratulations Pam, your Red-tailed Monkey is our Spotting of the Day!
"This distinctive Red-tailed Monkey (Cercopithecus ascanius) is our Spotting of the Day! Found in the forests of Central Africa, the red-tailed monkey belongs to the primates family Cercopithecidae, commonly known as Old World Monkeys. Named for the coloration of its tail, it has other distinguishing features such as a white nose and white cheeks, well visible in the portrait shot".
