After a tip from a friend 'spotter' I took the car and drove about 100 km to photograph this quite rare mining bee. There are only few known places in Belgium where this species has been found. The bee collects pollen from among others Hieracium pilosella, Hypochaeris radicata , Crepis biennis and Asteraceae.
