Honey mushroom

Armillaria ostoyae

Habitat:

These pictures were taken in Nov 2007, in a mixed deciduous forest at the foot of an oak near to the Dutch coast. As you can see they are quite big. The largest was almost a foot high.

looks indeed like a Honey Mushroom - pretty large cap but other charactaristics do match

@ Edward: Thank you for the honey mushroom, I looked up a couple of sites on the internet and think that I have find the right one. If I am not mistaking it could be Armillaria ostoyae, which is a Honey Mushroom.

@ Mick: First of all let me thank you for helping me to identify the species. I had a look at that fungus aswell but the downsite of mine was brown while the downsite of Melanoleuca melaleuca is white. Then this fungus has a clear pattern of spots and rings on the top while Melanoleuca melaleuca is more equally brown. So I think it is a other species.
