On Elk Mountain of the Wichita mountains in Oklahoma. Was by himself, chowing along the trail.

Seemed very accustomed to hikers, was able to get so close because of some rocks beside it we were able to climb on.

Hey Lauren, this is an interesting spotting, but do you think you could maybe swap it so the second photo is the main photo for the spotting? We want the main focus to be the wildlife, though it's cool the buffalo didn't mind having you so close! Also, the scientific name for the American buffalo is Bison bison, so if you could add that too, that'd be great. It helps the website find related spottings, plus makes your own spotting more complete! Welcome to Project Noah too, hope to see more neat wildlife from you!
