Fox Squirrel

Sciurus niger

Description:

The largest tree squirrel in North America, the fox squirrel resembles the grey squirrel except for the rusty coloring on the face, sides, and belly. The Western and Eastern grey squirrels are mostly grey, and also slightly smaller.

Habitat:

Forested areas and city parks/school campuses with trees.

Notes:

The tree is a eucalyptus. How a warm weather Australian tree survives in Idaho is beyond me.
