Oh, no, there are warm water penguins that frequent both South Africa and parts of Madagascar.
I saw a special once on Discovery where there is a small island the that the penguins have actually gotten so curious and used to people that they have been known to go into dog doors into people's houses. They have to be chased out.
Ha! Fabulous!!! (Like our Canada Geese! But THEY'RE everywhere in the US! They paddle across the roads without a thought to cars...but I've never seen one hit!! ). Thx for the info! ;-)
No, they're wild. The area around the beach that this whole group frequents has become very residential, so they'll just be wandering around paths and people, and just expect you to move for them.

Nice to see them,
No problem...I find nature so amazing. Lots of hours of both spotting and watching Discovery channel gives me alot of random facts.
Wow, thanks for the information Apple! Will watch it now :)
Here's a YouTube video of them swimming with people in South Africa...

Wow! Sounds interesting, this is new to me. I'm thinking that penguin only found at Arctic or Antartica, poor me ... :)
Lovely teeny bird...
