Synargis butterfly

Synargis fandanga

Description:

For a long time, the small number of species available for study meant that some species of butterflies of the genus Synargis were classified as belonging to a single species, S. axenus. A review carried out in 2013 gave the status of distinct species to three of them - S. synargis, S. rasqueada and S. gorpa.

Habitat:

A small patch of grassland in the outskirts of a small city.
