Description:

About 24mm long. Exploring the leaves of black wattle (Acacia ?mearnsii)

Habitat:

In an outer urban nature reserve with a mix of small eucalyptus, acacia, kunzea, pomaderris and others.

Notes:

Omnivorous tussock moth. Also called Euproctis leucomelas
Found along most of the coast of Australia, including: New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia.
Can feed on :-
Monterey Pine ( Pinus radiata, PINACEAE )
Wattles ( Acacia, MIMOSACEAE )
Gum Trees ( Eucalyptus, MYRTACEAE )
Pultenaea ( FABACEAE )
Dodonaea ( SAPINDACEAE )
