On a flower near the visitor center. Surrounding native habitat is mostly mesquite forest with some grassland, and riparian corridors.
This beetle species might be an upside down firefly mimic. Fireflies are quite toxic, so several other insects mimic them.

The other, tiny bug is a "minute pirate bug," family Anthocoridae.
