Christmas Green Tree Snake

Dendrelaphis punctulata

Notes:

My husband was called to 'rescue' this non-venomous snake from a house in our neighbourhood, where it had taken up residence in the Christmas decorations. (I think he was really rescuing the family whose house it was... they were completely terrorised!) The snake was very healthy and difficult to catch, but once we got him he was quite happy to be handled. We relocated him to some nearby bushland.
