Baby Red-Bellied Black Snake

Pseudechis porphyriacus

Notes:

We rescued this baby venomous snake from a pool filter in Castle Hill, NSW. We were going to release him into the bush immediately, but when we took him out of the bag we realised he was actually pretty dehydrated (his skin was all crinkled up). After a vet visit and a few weeks of care (including rehydration!) we released him back into the wild.
