This larva reminds me of the Cinnabar moth, Tyria, but I can't find any species with the white lines.

Most of the larvae were still. A few were Acende the trunk of the tree.

I have seen similar in Tikal, Guatemala. I wonder why do the caterpillars stay all tight together, whether this is a mechanism of defense?? ..strange and pretty :-)
