Hi Carly, cute hatchling! I don't think it's a leatherback though - leatherback hatchlings don't have a plated shell - and the lines running down the shell are much more distinct.

It may be a loggerhead - they have the three ridged scutes (plates) down the shell, and a thick neck.

Also, just a quick note, turtles are reptiles, and even sea turtles need to breathe air. I've changed this to the reptile category. Thanks for posting this spotting - look forward to more!
