Psychidae sp., Subfamily Taleporiinae
This case seems to have been used by a case moth larvae. It's one continuous spiral made out of pieces of dried grass stems of ever decreasing length and diameter Approximately 2.5cm (1 inch) long.
Dry sclerophyll bush land. This was attached to our poly water tank.

I would say Lepidoscia sp. but surely this spiral couldn't be .arctiella with the stepped construction ? ?

Yours has pupated so we know it was a male and has 'left home' in search of females. Females remain in their case and remain wingless. I suspect your case is eggless.
