Notes:

I saw this lovely (if battered) butterfly visit our garden. It was very fond of this pink Helichrysum. I know they lay their eggs on stinging nettle (very clever of them really) so I hunted out the nettles growing on our property and was pleased to find this caterpillar there. Next year I might try and cultivate more nettles as this and other natives are welcome visitors to our garden.
