Crimson Rose: male

Atrophaneura hector

Notes:

This butterfly has been flying round a certain section of my garden for a week now. Very restless, it only settles for a few seconds before flying round and round again. It appears to chase away any other butterflies that come into it's territory. Maybe it is getting tired, because I managed to get a few shots of it today! Unfortunately it only seems to settle on fairly high branches, so a zoom is necessary, hence the clarity is not so good.
