my pet store told me the same then my tadpole turned into a huge bullfrog, it might be a leopard frog tadpole but if I remember there tadpoles have dots on the belly yours doesnt seem to. They get the tadpoles because where they raise feeder goldfish frogs lay eggs in the ponds so they get loads of tadpoles mixed in, and give them to pet stores to sell as "algae eaters" with the goldfish. Some people put them in tanks just to eat algae but most of the time they end up starving. I fed mine a mix of frog & tadpole bites, sinking algae wafers, and boiled Romaine lettuce. You boil it for 5 minutes, let it cool, then put it in the tank the tadpoles love it just remove any uneaten food the next day. They will also munch on live plants and algae in the tank but that alone doesnt keep them full. Whatever species it is it looks healthy keep us updated on its growth!
tbh im not sure but i got this one from a pet store and they said its either a clawed frog tadpole or leopard frog. the claw frog tadpoles dont look this these so im guessing its a leopard frog
