Tamiasciurus hudsonicus
Small reddish mammal with white underbelly, ~ 6 inches long exclusive of tail.
Montane ecosystem of mixed coniferous and deciduous trees, a variety of shrubs and grassy meadows and marshes drained by small streams.
Spotted at two locations beside Bear Lake (images 1 and 2) and in Aspenglen Campground (image 3) in Rocky Mountain National Park. Combined into a single spotting to avoid multiple similar posts. This species is also known as Pine Squirrel or Chickaree.
