Liverworts

Description:

Small liverworts. Their body called thallus which means a tissue with undiferentiated cells. This is the most simple plants which have dominant phase of their life as gametophyte generation. Usually they have gemma, a cup like structure where male and female gametes will be produced. This pictures shows gametophyte phase from liverworts.

Habitat:

Rock, near small river, high elevation (about 1000 m from sea level). Tropical rain forests.

Notes:

Archegonium and antheridium can't be found when I'm taken the photos.
