Daviesia latifolia
At this time of year the drab Australian bush comes alive with spectacular displays of under-story colour from small acacias and plants like these Fabaceae. The flowers on this one are quite small.. each about half the length of a honey bee. The plant itself climbs to about 2 metres maximum.
In a suburban nature reserve.
Thanks to Vinny for the ID
Also called Broad-leaved bitter pea.
Super Pretty! What a nice season of flowers! WE currently have goldenrod covered in bumblebees honeybees and many small delicate bees and wasps. Its like a symphony standing in a goldenrod field here on a sunny afternoon!
Testing me with the spelling :-) .. and only 199 more of these beauties to discover. Thanks again.
Nice photo, might you consider adding to this mission http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/2939...
