Description:

Beefsteak begonia can get up to 36 inches tall and space out 24 inches. These plants like light shade and bloom repeatedly almost all year. Beef steak plants vary in color. They can be dark green with a burgundy color on the underside of the leaves or they can be an all over pink-burgundy color. They have a shiny, glossy, and rubbery texture. When they bloom their flowers are a pale pink/ white color. They attract birds, bees, and butterflies.

Habitat:

These plants can be indoor or outdoor. They like to be in a somewhat humid environment. Beefsteak plants originated in tropical areas such as South and Central America. They do not require a lot of water they are good plants for potting. Beefsteak begonias can last for decades with the right care.

Notes:

Catherine West This plant was cut and given to me so it is not in the best condition. I hope to get it healthy, put into a new pot, and outside when the weather warms up again.
