Pine Warbler

Setophaga pinus

Description:

They are getting brighter yellow as it warms up. It's a Pine Warbler, not a yellow warbler as I originally thought.

David - I have more shots of the Pine Warbler and keep calling it an American Goldfinch. I learned that bird first and everything yellow - in my head - gets called an American Goldfinch, at first. But I'm new to birding and loving learning all this new cool info. Thanks for the help.

You're most welcome, and thanks for your confirmation. I've challenged myself to memorize the warblers in 2012.

Thanks David. I get those two species confused still. :-)

Beautiful picture. It's good to see.
To me it looks a little more like a Pine Warbler, Setophaga pinus.
