Eastern Bluebird (Male)

Sialis sialis

Description:

The Eastern Bluebird looks like a Blue Robin. This male has black streaking on his face as seen in picture 2 and 3. They seem to perch, look at the ground a bit, and then descend, picking things off the ground. They are very skiddish.

I never thought they could be "expressive" but I have seen 2 Bluebirds recently that allow me to get closer, and always seem to have cool expressions. This one has more black on his face.
