Pycnonotus barbatus
The common bulbul (Pycnonotus barbatus) is a member of the bulbul family of passerine birds. Other names include Yellow-vented Bulbul, Black-eyed Bulbul and Common Garden Bulbul. I saw this little bird in many of the places I went in East Africa, especially in gardens etc.
home garden in Entebbe.
This bulbu is a ubiquitous resident breeder throughout Africa.
Sorry Joshua. How strange! It didm't show up as in the mission for Ecuador on my page, but in the Wildlife in Botswana mission, which is also wrong! Those 2 missions are on either side of the mission for East African Biodiversity, which I meant to put it in… A case of finger going faster than the mind, I'd say! I have corrected it. Thanks for drawing my attention to it.
I'm sorry to bug you, but you accidentally put this great little bird on my Mission for Ecuador.
Also known as Common or Yellow-vented Bulbul, this is the most ubiquitous bird in E Africa - especially drawn to gardens, and fond of fruit.
