Lesser Black-backed Gull

Larus fuscus

Habitat:

Nest in coastal areas, rocky islands, old lava flows, cliffs, saltmarshes, grassy or sandy islands in lakes and rivers, and even on rooftops. During migration and in winter, they live near rivers, lakes, marshes, estuaries, beaches, fields, and the open ocean. They sometimes forage inland, ex. at landfills.

Notes:

On different years when I've spotted this species, I always just see 1 even when there are a number of mixed shorebirds. last pics eating a piece of coconut.
