Is this a Orange Bordered Argus?

By chance found on a Grass

DanielePralong 6 years ago

Sushil, what was the habitat? Was it by any chance spotted in a butterfly garden (captive)?

Good spotting!

Hie Sushil Thomas David! It is not an Orange Bordered Argus (Aricia agestis).
It lacks orange spots on the underside of forewing, and the second row of black spots on the underside of the hindwing doesn't match:

I'll try to look more into later but in the mean time I hope someone else can help you find the right ID. A shot or description of the upper side will help :-)
