Large dragonfly which easily measures three inches long or slightly more.

Habitat:

Tropical dry forest in NW Costa Rica half way through the 6 month dry season.

Looks similar to the Eastern Pondhawk, but I don't think they're in Costa Rica. Maybe a relative?
