Emma, this time of year, they are everywhere, but usually moving too fast to capture. Hence the poor quality photos

Is that the one with red top? The same thing happens to me when I try to take a picture, they always fly away when the focus are ready :P

Thank you. A couple weeks ago, I almost got a close upof a ruby with crest extended - through my mom's basement window. But it left the moment the camera turned on

Great pictures! You are so lucky Karen that got a picture of this bird.. We have the same bird here but i have never seen this one.
The Goldcrest are more common here but it's hard to get a picture of that bird...
