Eastern Giant Swallowtail Butterfly ( No. 2 )

I looked out of a window, at 7:15 a.m. in the morning, to see what was outside. To my amazement, I spotted a second, Giant Swallowtail Butterfly, resting on a plant, in my front yard. This second butterfly, had some injuries to its wings. This second butterfly, was about six feet from my front door. This second butterfly, was in the same area , as the first butterfly, that I saw the other day. The Giant Swallowtail, is the largest species of butterfly, in North America. The caterpillar, is orange, black, white, and brown, and has been called an "orange dog". They tend to enjoy eating the leaves of citrus trees, like oranges and lemons. Caterpillars, are found on there food plants. Adults are only active during the day. Caterpillars, may be active day or night. 10:00 a.m. - This injured butterfly, flew away. Phylum: Arthropoda Class: Insecta Order:Lepidoptera Family: Papilionidae

Habitat:

The Giant Swallowtail, is widely distributed throughout the American Continent. The Giant Swallowtail, is very common throughout the entire state of Florida. Fields, wooded areas, citrus orchards, etc. Many locales, including rocky and sandy hillsides, near streams or gullies, in the North. Pine flats, towns, and citrus groves, in the South.

Notes:

While I was looking out of the window, I noticed that there was a second, Giant Swallowtail Butterfly, resting on a plant. I also noticed, that this second, Giant Swallowtail Butterfly, had some injuries to its wings.
