Sea Storm Lichen

Description:

Whitish green and it is very flakey like, and this lichen is foliose because it is flat and leafy.

Habitat:

They can be in little patches and they can also be in big patches. There can be more then one patch on a tree. I found this Lichen on a some what dead tree because they can not grow on a tree that is still growing because it will tare the Lichen!

Notes:

When we went outside it was very cloudy and windy! There was a lot of snow on the ground. We did find a lot of lichen and there were a lot of lichen high up on the trees.
