Sea Storm Lichen

Cetrelia Chicitae

Whitish green and it is very flakey like, and this lichen is foliose because it is flat and leafy.

They can be in little patches and they can also be in big patches. There can be more then one patch on a tree. I found this Lichen on a some what dead tree because they can not grow on a tree that is still growing because it will tare the Lichen!

When we went outside it was very cloudy and windy! There was a lot of snow on the ground. We did find a lot of lichen and there were a lot of lichen high up on the trees.
