Sitta canadensis
This small songbird often creeps around trees in a head-down position. Breast is reddish brown and the back is a blue-gray. A black cap and eye stripe separated by a white stripe and a white chin and throat adorn the head. Bill is black. Females are similar but less colorful.
Coniferous forests.
