Plains zebra

Equus Quagga

Description:

Muzzle black. Rest of animal striped black and white. Stripes extend to under belly. Stripes on lower legs are faint. Usually pale chestnut shadow stripes on rump.

Habitat:

Grazes on short grass in grassland and open woodland where water is available.

Notes:

Photo taken in a office/training park with large grasslands where there are some zebras, blesbok and springbok. I've heard that every zebra has a unique print, just like the human fingerprint. Seems as if common name of Burchell's Zebra has now changed to Plains Zebra - but will try and find out. Any help will be appreciated
