I didn't think he looked that one, but that's what I got with I googled for Pink Mantis. Is there another Family or Genus you would suggest I start my research with?

The mantis is not likely to be Hymenopus coronatus. That species is arboreal and mimics a flower. It has flared flattened legs and long eyes and carapace. Yours is the usual shape and probably a ground dweller.

Thanks! Yes, the rocks are granite. Pink mantis = Hymenopus coronatus ?

Well its a pink mantis, possibly a nymph but they don't all get wings as adults. Legs and eyes are very different from the pink orchid mantis in Asia.
It blends in with the rocks which seem to be granite.
Spectacular spotting. Thanks for showing to us.
