Crab-eating frog

Fejervarya cancrivora

Description:

This frog can tolerate marine environments (immersion in sea water for brief periods or brackish water for extended periods) by increasing urea production and retention, and by remaining slightly hyperosmotic within urea and sodium flux.

Habitat:

It inhabits mangrove swamps and marshes and is the only known modern amphibian which can tolerate salt water.

At least I am not a crab-eater nor a ear-eater ;-)...

OK, hitting the board is a great expression to notify... No, no blind-folded when a bull is around, definitely not...

Genus certainly but web images are all over the place. I got lost with too many sub-species, doubts, contradictions, re-names and work that still needs doing. No I can't say you got a bull's eye while throwing darts over your shoulder blind-folded :-) at least you hit the board.

Thanks, Mark! Do you even agree with Fejervarya cancrivora?? Tanslation of my comment would be: A simple shot into the darkness of frog ID, but I am not sure at all...

Good call bayucca. Fejervarya seems quite a complex group.
