Hairy bittercress

Cardamine hirsuta

Description:

Its fruiting bodies are vertical and resemble really tiny pea pods with cute white flowers to accompany them.

Habitat:

Grows in areas with high moisture. I found it in a disturbed area, in the grass by a parking lot.

Notes:

If interested in urban foraging, this would make a cool addition to a salad as a bitter or peppery element, as it's in the mustard family.

Thanks for the laugh, Tukup. Yeah, not sure about this exact plant, but perhaps a more ...pristine specimen would do?

Mmm. Weeds for supper :-) Actually it doesn't sound bad. Thanks Mauna.
