Leaf Beetle eggs & larvae

Chrysophtharta variicollis

Description:

Tiny black larvae with lightly striated bodies. (2mm long)

Habitat:

Leaves of eucalyptus melliodora.

Notes:

At first I thought it was black eggs. Should wear some glasses. They look so cute and lost.... "Ok, we're out. Where to next ?" Pic #2 shows the only leaf beetle I could find on this tree. I think it is a possible candidate for the same species. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/815...

Nice close up. They make me think of ladybird beetle hatchlings at this age. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/828... (pic #3) but I think they are this one. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/847...
