Evania appendigaster (Linnaeus, 1758)
Length: ~0.5cm Season : Rainy season Time : 4:00pm 04Dec2021 Frequency : Very Rare Life stage : Adult Observations : a. Eyes are shining with bluish green colors. b. It is able to move hind legs upside (180° but not sure about 360°). Overall it is nicely doing gymnastics. :)
Spotted inside the car parking very close to open abandoned area with lot of plants.
It looks like blue-eyed ensign wasp (Evania appendigaster).
m.prasad.369, Yeah, same. I think it's easier to find a particular species with a search box, hopefully it get's added into the website.
Even I can't find it. Usually I do use Google for such cases (one can do google search with the pattern - evania appendigaster www.projectnoah.org), but I feel it is good to have such option in the site itself. Thanks for the information. :)
m.prasad.369, I think there used to be a search box in the wildlife section but it disappeared. It was also not really working if you try to search something. I don't know what happened to it.
Francis Floe, Thank you for the confirmation and for the references. BTW, is there any way to find all the spottings for a species in this website? I'm new to this platform and I can't see any search option.
