La pintarroja es un pequeño tiburón que también se denomina gato. Tras la fecundación interna y cruzada, la hembra pone un huevo rectangular, de entre 5 y 7 cm de longitud y unos 2 de anchura. Como los de todos los elasmobranquios ovíparos, está protegido por su naturaleza córnea. Ese extraño huevo tiene unos zarcillos, como hermosas arracadas, con los que se ancla al fondo o a una gorgonia.--------------------------------------- The dogfish is a small shark that is also called cat.
