Green Cat Eye Snake

Boiga cyanea

Description:

Beautiful green slim snake. Its head is rather big compared to its very slim neck. The head is heart shaped (which made me think of a viper at first) It is about 1.20- 1.50 (guessing) It was not aggressive.

Habitat:

Our balcony. Our house is between rubber trees and banana trees. We have a lot of grass undergrowth and other flowering plants. This snake was comfortable around humans as it lives in our roof. :-) See picture

Notes:

I saw this snake on our balcony at night. First I thought it was 'our' flying tree snake until I realized it had no markings! So then it freaked me out a bit as it looked like a viper and the only thing between him/her and our bed was a wobbly screen door. I send pictures to a Thai snake site and found out it was harmless. Than it slowly disappeared in a little hole in our roof and it still lives there. We see it around occasionally.
