Dendrobates azureus
Poison dart frog, approximately 8 grams, about 1 inch tall, 1-2 inches long. Small to large black spots covering body. Darker blue on legs, lighter blue on rest of body.
Sipaliwini savannah in Sourthern Suriname, and northern to central Brazil. I believe they are found in humid tropical climates, near water.

Cool man! Bright colors!
The black polka dots bring out the blue body

Thank you for sharing!
Awesome
Cool
@Goody--thanks for the knowledge, I had no idea that without their natural diet they lose their poison. :)
Their toxicity is tied to their wild diet and they lose this property in captivity. The frogs kept in zoos and at home as pets are totally harmless.
Wow, that would freak me out to have a poisonous frog as a pet.
Wow, you have this like a pet? :)
Ultimate..!!!
Such a beauty...!!!
Wish I could see him in real... :-)
If you're using the website, you can click on the "edit this spotting" link on the top right and just select the pets category. On the iPhone app, go to "My Spottings", tap on the spotting you want to edit, and then tap on the "edit" button on the top right. Just slide the categories over until you see "pets" and then select it. Hope this helps!
Thanks guys! How do I move it to the pet category?
