Can be told from the House Sparrow by the all chestnut cap and the vertical black mark above and behind the eye.

Habitat:

Coastal marshes with disused saltpans

Notes:

I've been watching out for these for years and when I finally see one I don't recognise it until I see the photo on the PC! Good job I try to photograph everything I see just for the record. Second new species I saw this way in a few days.
