Fimbriated Moray Eel

Gymnothorax fimbriatus

Description:

It is pale green-yellow in color with black spots on its face and can reach a maximum length of 80 cm. It feeds mainly on small fish. Morays breathe by constantly opening and closing their mouths to move water through their gills.

Habitat:

Found singly on protected inshore reefs, harbours and small caves hiding among dead corals.

Notes:

Found this hiding below a rock during a night dive. Depth of about 6m.
