Description:

Bright red dragonfly with black stripes on thorax. Wings clear. A Meadowhawk (Sympetrum sp.). I would say that it's a male White-faced (S. obstrusum)

Thanks for the ID. Yes it is tough to ID much of wildlife.

A Meadowhawk (Sympetrum sp.). I would say that it's a male White-faced (S. obstrusum) but species in this complex are tricky to tell apart.
