Description:

An enthusiastic cruise ship follower, this large Albatross, with a wingspan of 8' (240cm) is one of the most common birds seen in the Drake Passage.

Habitat:

Open ocean, Drake Passage

Notes:

Black-browed Albatross and a few other birds were usually seen around our cruise ship during our 48 hour crossing of the Drake Passage on the way to the Antarctic peninsula.
