Southern Black Widow Spider

Description:

A highly venomous spider with black and red markings of the female. The distinctive hourglass pattern can be seen on the female's abdomen. Their web is an irregular mesh.

Habitat:

Houses, fields, etc. under stones, logs, barns, etc.
