Horseshoe Bee-orchid

Ophrys ferrum-equinum

Description:

Ophrys ferrum-equinum is a species of Orchids that thrives in Greece and Turkey. The most characteristic for this species is the characteristic shape of a silver horse-shoe on the brown petal. I am very happy for this spotting because this orchid was my first spot from Orchidaceae family and it was so close to my home!!!!
