With Apple trees, it's very hard to tell which species it would be just by the flower. Most apple trees and even hybrids along with flowering crab apple trees have flowers that are extremely similar in size, shape, color, and density. You wont know until the fruiting bodies are full formed.
This is an apple tree, but what type?
