Habitat:

A coastal species and are only occasionally seen very far inland. plowed fields, garbage dumps, parking lots, and shorelines

Notes:

The little group at the beach this morning was in varying states of plumage color. Seemed to be in transition between the white of peppered heads of nonbreeding to the solid black breeding colors.
