Canis lupus
Cody's mother was a pure bred Chocolate Labrador. We believe his father was a Welsh Corgi based on his looks and the shortness of his back legs. He looked like a Pembroke such as this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:CorgiR... or this one http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Welchc... He loved the snow just like the first one.
This is Cody. He was an amazing best friend! He suffered his last two years of life with recurring bouts of a very rare cancer. He was operated on and it seemed successful and he had a great summer but prior to Christmas 2011 it resurfaced. We lost him around Christmas to his cancer. As you can see he was well loved and was a totally strange and wonderful dog. You can see in pictures 2 and 3 that he loved to sleep in weird places and often upside down when he was young (when these pictures were taken). In picture 2 he actually had a price tag stuck to his foot. He loved a squeaky toy and his sister! RIP Cody, we love you.

The loss of a dog can be heartbreaking, but remember he is always with you in your heart.
:)
Awww So cute
Yes, it is...I still miss him...but he left a lot of great memories behind. And, he was such a great dog through it all....sweet as can be....
I'm sorry. When we lose a dog as a friend and companion, the pain of loss is very great!
Thank you Mayra!
Ohhh, y love this simpatic dog!!!!
Thanks Lisa! He was a happy go lucky dog. He loved a squeaky toy and cuddling. Even at 65 lbs. But, that's nothing compared to your 260+ lb baby.
They really do become part of your family don't they?
Cody"s beautiful....he has such gentle and loving eyes...he looks like he was very happy :)
@Emma--thank you. We miss him terribly but you are correct, some things are not in our control. It has been interesting to see how our other two have adapted and changed with him not here.
RIP Cody. Cody is beautiful and very precious indeed. Always sad to loose a pet.
But somethings are just not in our control.
