Junonia iphita
The Chocolate Pansy or Chocolate Soldier (Junonia iphita) is a butterfly found in Asia. It is about 5–6 cm (2.0–2.4 in) in wingspan and the female can be told apart from the male by white markings on the oblique line on the underside of the hind wing. The wavy lines on the underside of the wings vary from wet to dry season forms. Individuals maintain a territory and are usually found close to the ground level and often bask in the sun.

Galanyiv, thanks for the kind words. The best part about ProjectNoah for me, is the speed at which my butterfly ID's are discussed. Seems like there are a few very knowledgeable people who 'jump' on my posts as soon as I put them up and I often have the ID before I finish uploading the different views! I am learning so.o.o much about butterflies and appreciating my garden so much more.
Your butterfly photos are just lovely!
I hope someone can help you with the ID's. I'm not particularly good at butterflies... yet! ;)
could this be a chocolate pansy?
